It has something!

Job well done I say. It's a little bit dreamy...not actually sad or depressing but overall it has a good vibe. Some shallow rain would have been a perfect combination with this track. It would really give it a more ambient like feel.

It's a good song none the less! 5/5!

Good beginning but...

sad execution afterwards. You set a really good mood with the beginning but I was a little disappointed seeing that it only lasted for 56 seconds. :/

There would have been several ways to expand this into a real calming/sad song. Too bad you didn't take the chance. :(

Not quite fitting.

I kinda have to agree with FatKid. It's kind of weird. Though, I catch the mood of this song. I mean, after all...it's Ambience...right? I think FatKid meant that some "sad" melodies are missing. You already set a good backing track here but it just misses something that goes trough. That keeps the attention. A 4:22 track with only a couple of minor changes is not very satisfying.

Yes, it's still ambience but seeing that it's for the competition, a bit of emotion is missing. Something a user can get a hold on.

Don't get me wrong, the track isn't bad at all. I only think it's not suiting the contest very well. As an ambient song itself it's very good, no complains there. All in all, good job. 4/5!

Hmm, thanks Darkside for clearing that up. Now I see what fatkid was saying. I suppose I should try and add to it before the contest is over. I kind of have an idea in my head and gotta see if I can get it down.

Very good!

A strong build up which leads into a very fine and motion driven main part. I really like the energy it delievers. The drum beats are indeed a bit repetitive but that's quite all to bug about this one. Overall, very nice!

Wow...that was deep.

That's why I always say...Music is the way to show your deepest feelings...It's not just a mindless saying, it's a fact. And this song shows it to me yet again that it's true...I shed tears. Songs like this touch the soul and the heart, let you go back...let you imagen how it could have been, what was and what is about to come...Close your eyes, let your sould fly.

This is very powerful and really something else. The dreams I had as a child were often unfulfilled. Now...beeing older, kind of grown up...I "could" fulfill some of those dreams...but I'm standing still. It's kind like zach mentioned it. You're running but you're getting slower with every year that walks away.

Would I hate myself, if I go back? Probably yes. If I could back I would take the chance to say...sorry. Sorry that it couldn't be the one I wanted to be. I'm not having a bad life...infact, I'm having a pretty good life but sometimes you're just missing something. Lying around in bed, thinking what's wrong with yourself or perhaps just isn't...

I don't want to "grow up", at least not completely...but I guess it can't be helped in the end.

Anyways...wonderful song and one of my personal winners already. 5/5!

Sorrowful and simple!

Nice little track with a good bunch of harmony changes. Short but enjoyable. Played with a real piano or at least keyboard? Sounds very "lively" to me.

Thanks for the comment on the piano sound, it is actually a soundfont, and a lot of people criticized it for having too much treble, so it's good to hear some positive views on that.

[MAC8-Michael's Theme]

Way too short!

I know I know...A theme is short in general...though, this doesn't sound like a theme because there is no end. It kind of stops. But that's really the only let-down here. The soundquality is very nice. The piano has a very very gentle sound. It also reminds me a little of FF-7, which insaneclownjoe already pointed out.

I think it's a little too short to score in the contest but that's just me. Composition wise this was a job well done! 5'd!

Yea the lenght was really something I wasn't all too happy about; to be honest I'm not all that worried about this scoring too high in the MAC this month; there'll be plenty of those to come, my main purpose here was really to get some of my music out there, and it has done so! :-D

Although I am hoping "The Darkest Place of All" gets far, I tried to do something a little different there.

Never thought I see another MMX2 - Flame Stage Metal remix around here besides my own. Cool. Much guitar variation and nice soloing. Though, I have to agree with Metaljonus. A bit too trebely and maybe a bit raw but overall pretty sweet job there! :)

Good vibe!

Simple yet effective. Reminds me of steve vai somehow. Chilly laid back track. I wouldn't say sad, more like a soundtrack for the good memories, as you already explained yourself. ;)

Of course, that's always a matter of opinion. All in all I really liked this one. A bit abrupt beginning but overall, perfect background music!

I know this has made some people cry...but oddly, with a smile on their faces. I do believe relating to sadness though happier melodies with a bit of sorrow, is most effective.
Either way, I'm glad I actually tapped some deeper stuff in me and its weird to share those kind of intimate feelings through music. Usually aggression is best for me.
