Fun times! :)

Ah yes, that was fun. Reminds me of the good old days when I sucked like hell as well. Your riffs weren't bad and the playing was pretty solid, though the soundquality and the overall emptyness is the problem. Of course you're just a beginner, so I give you some pointers what you could do to get a bit more out of your recording, than just a wall of sound. ;)

First off, if you don't already use audacity, download it. It's free and a good start in the world of recording. Of course you could buy a real recording program already but they are more complex as well. Audacity is good to learn some basics.

You def. need drums in order to pump out a solid track. Acoustica beatcraft is pretty ok for the start. Google it, you can free trail it for 14 days. Mixing/Recording takes time, so take it easy and don't get to hasty with it, good things require time.

If you have questions regarding your sound etc. feel free to visit the NG audio forum. Lots of musicians there that can help you with nearly evey questions.

All in all, keep it up! ;)

Alright man. Thanks for your help. I'll take all the advice I've gotten on here and other websites and my next song should be a lot better.

P.S. - Yeh, I do have Audacity. It's what I used to record this song.

Not bad!

For a start! I started out worse. ;)

Cool riffs there. Pretty clean structure and overall enjoyable to listen to. The guitars are a bit "fuzzy" for my personal taste but not bad at all. Drums could be eq'd a bit better and they could also be a little more up in the mix. Compared to the guitars, they are barely audible.

Overall though, pretty cool tune to start here. Liked the structure and feel of it! So, 5up as a welcome gift!

Have fun around the audio portal!

MOFAUX responds:

Thanks, i agree with you on the guitar tone not being sharp enough. This was the first song I recorded with my new guitar (ESP Ltd Viper 400) and my new Shure SM57, so I was kinda experimenting with the mic placement. My future songs will probably have better guitar sounds.

Not bad!

Nice guitar arrangement of the good old flutter theme. Some minor fuck up's here and there but overall, enjoyable to listen to! Like the original part as well. All in all, good job! 5up!

Welcome to the audio portal!

thehitocrimes responds:

yea the fuck ups, there cant be a song without some :P:P im glad u enjoyed it, :D

Cool!

The opening kinda reminds me of a Mega Man Zero song. Inspiration maybe? ;)

Overall, this one builds a bit long for my taste but the rest is pretty smooth. Cool vox as well. Don't like the synth guitarness that much but it's not to bad in the mix.

Plus points for the lyrics. Cool!

Schleif responds:

thanks man, much appreciated! mega man zero, eh? played it once, but can't really rememember the music. i'll have to check it out though =p. and yeah, synthesized guitars are crappy. that's a fact. but since i'm no guitar hero, that'll have to do for now, haha. thanks for checking \m/

Short...

but nice. The sound is good, a bit near at the clipping meter but it's still alright. Like the spectrum where the sound goes. Nice little loop there! :)

Keep it up!

Tokolos responds:

Thanks DarKside, much appreciated!

LoL 0'd! ;D

A band of beards without the beard master himself!? IMPOSSIBLE! Furthermore, who played da guitars? They sucked. lmao.

Naa, for grunchyness it was nice. Wade Fulp - Epic maneuver, stage left!

Ruckes sucks! Lol! :D

Rucklo responds:

lmaaaaaaaaaao you're such a statwhore LOL!

also, the level of "guitar suckage" is an important part of our deep and poetic music, the day B.O.B learns to play and perform in a good way instrumentvice - that day will be apocatrimmer for the facial hair.

Jeanz!

Blazin in da hood with ma jeanz around ma knees! peace dawwg! ;D

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

You are still itchin to rap on another, aren't you? You are a good rapper, even with that "europeeing" accent ya got there. haha, hardy har.

Thanks dude.

Haha!

You're a funny man. I really had to laugh at the first few seconds. It's just soo damn cheesy. xD

I can only agree on those who just purley listen to the track without even looking at the description. Most of them don't really know what metal is after all...ah well. On to the song.

I like the transitions, very smooth and with an overall good feel. Your playing doesn't suck at all so shuush yo mouth on that. ;) I only wish the metal section had a different tone. Sounds a little bit tooo soft for me...but, that's just me. :)

Overall, a funny little track ya got there!

sorohanro responds:

Thanx man, really appreciate.
Strange thing how people who are really into Metal and play guitar give a good feedback on it and people with no tracks at all give very bad reviews ...

(why laughing at cheesy part? i really love cheese, I might be a French guy inside)

Edit Edit Edit!

Nobody cares about your edits! ;D

Don't be a lazy bitch and master it yourself. Lazy sonofacock. ;D

I gotta say I found the beginning a bit...weird. Intro...radiotraffic...misleading playing afterwards. So this changed into a more or less lighter track. Def. Symphony X in there. Nice stabs at 2:42. Yeah, it's a pretty technical song but carried out well.

I wouldn't really think of it as a theme, seeing that a themesong is not "that" long but whatever suits that fucker best. ;D

Overall, great playing, great sound, shitty song! lolz

Sonofkirk responds:

Lol, a lot of people care about my edits, your are the only who don't care about it :P. Maybe because of your dickface ;).

I will master my new song myself, don't worrie about it. The whole song is a bit weird actually but I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks for the funny review dude, I love 'em :P. Keep on being a dick dude <3<3

Cover me chaps!

Ima goin fo da boomshot. lol.

Holy mother. This is god damn sweet man. I like the psychodelic leads much in the beginning and througout the song. The guitar tone is very nice, so pounding. I've yet have to make a custom one on my Podx3.

Nice clean section as well, short but good transition into the melodical part. What's up with the Schecter Omen? Courtesy of Metaljonus...do you live nearby him or what? If so...yo basturd! >:(

Now as for the end part. The fade-in came a little to fast for me. A longer fade-in would be cooler I think but that's just me. Overall, a fucking tasty track. Voted 5 yet again on it. Leaves really much room for solos and all kinds of shit.

BOOMSHOT! lol

Eternalreich responds:

Thanks for the fanboy review broseph! I'm awesome!

I see what ya mean bout the shortness of the clean riff, but the next riff is the same so i didn't want to play it out since it makes an extended reprise at the end.

Me and jonus were in neumenon together and i bought it from him. Hes the fastest gay-fag guitar virtuoso ever.

I hear ya on the fade in as well i just panned it in exactly with the fadeout of the other riff. Maybe i'll try it with a more gradual one and see what happens.

...Music is the way to show your deepest feelings... Not everyone likes metal... FUCK THEM!! kekeke! ^_ ^
