Phew...much things to work on. First off, what was that strange clipping in the song...was that meant to be drumming!? Oo

IF so then...woah...damn man, not good at all. Didn't fit, not a bit. If you want an easy to use and cheap drumprogram for the start, get a hold of beatcraft. You can find a trail version of the prog. here:

The guitar sounded more like it was a big...very big improvisation the hole time through. The tune lacks of any structure. Though, I have to say that the playing itself was solid and there is a base you can work on.

Piano didn't fit at all. The notes were often different to the guitar playing. Not a real benefit for the track. Btw...what did you do 2:30? Wham, your sound just changed into something bit "better" there.

Overall I say...phew...much to work on. I hope I wasn't to offensive with my review and I hope you'll take some things as an advice for your future stuff.

Nah, the thing wasn't offensive. I know it needs working on. I'll make it better!
The thing at 2:30 was a change in dynamics. I haven't mastered the dynamics changer on Cool Edit, if i left it the same, it would have sounded much much worse. I'll try to work on geting the shit before that point to sound the same.
As for the drums... that's just a shitty electronic drum pad I have.
And the Piano, I'll work on chaning the melody of it to match the guitar.

Impressive. Not only the structur but the fact that you managed to get those fucking synth guitars sound "good". I have to admit, I wasn't aware of the synth guitarness first, in the first few seconds I thought they where for real. XD

Anyways, great job on that! Though, I have to say, the overall soundquality wasn't that good. There are a lot of points in the song where the freq. just clash into each other and create fuzz. It could also be the higher master volume output because this track clips and cracks A LOT. Also, I didn't like the drums very much later on in the song, where the machine gun kick sets in. They get too "technoish" and remove themselfs from sounding like "realistic" drums.

Overall, this was a very fine composed and executed song, thats why I give my 5 for this, though I hope you'll also keep the mentioned things in mind.

I will dude, Thats one thing i've really yet to wrap my head around is mixing the final track, i'm gonna get a new sound card and eventually a new speaker set up, and find a better way to reduce clipping and what not, but thanks for the constructive review!

I hate synth guitars! >:(

but I seriously enjoyed this tune. The composition itself was flawless and catchy. Nice "riffs" and transitions. Only thing I have to bug about are the drums. They just don't provide much intensity...sound a little too soft on my ears but overall...pretty cool...for synth stuff. ;P

For a first it's very good, though it's more or less the melody of metroid. No need to worry about that, because the song is unique in it's appearance. Soundquality is good on this one as well but a little bit bulky in some places, like the ambient kick for example. As said before, not bad for a first try.

thankyou for your review! The melody is not the same from Metroid, the instruments are very similar though. Also, I'm having problems with the buffer; FL Studio exports the mp3 with the low quality buffer.

Short but sweet!

Certainly a damn fine job on Cyrils side. Fucking great vox, remind me very strong of mushroomhead. On one point I do hardly disagree with DanRaniera. There is nothing that needs to be done about the structure about this song. It's a perfect fit for 1:13.

Annoying is the fact that a fucking no0b like DanRaniera claims to have over 1000 reviews, when over 800 are just spam crap. Way to go dude! You rule!

Anyways, instrumentals are fine along with the rest, very good mix! Pumping stuff! Good work you two!

I love this one man. So simple yet so sweet. Reminds me of something chinese in a way. I can imagen an old chinese temple hidden in the mist and the safety of the mountains, where the elders prepare the a morning ceremony.

Very gentle sound! Love it! Props as well for the rain...it's e-orgasm all the way through! Great entry! Good work!

the Erhu Violin is an ancient Chinese instrument, I don't recall what era it was made, but it is one of my favorite ethnic instruments, and it served really well in this song as you may have realized.

And you are right to imagine such an image. It really speaks for the song and it was quite endearing. I found myself living the idea for quite some time... wish I had thought of that while making it, i'm sure it would have given me more motivation to make it longer, which I think it should be, at least 4 minutes longer, to be able to call it some kind of Zen track, which was the main principle behind this.
