Uarrrgh! \m/

First off, hello thar fellow b.c. rich wanka! Cool riffage man. Some things you might consider upgrading. ^^

Teh drums. Could sound a bit clearer in the mix. Might add some reverb on the snare too. Guitar tone is a bit too fuzzy for my taste. Not bad, but for leads it isn't very helpful, incase you consider doing some. The track has bass right!? At least I think it has. ^^ IF it has bass, I suggest another tone for it or a bit more volume in the mix.

Just some things I would suggest for the production. The preview is pretty cool by far. Keep hitting shit! \m/

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for THIS (Short demo version), raising its score from 4.75 to 4.80.

abusivepower responds:

Oh I very much agree! The current recording has no bass. There is a lead part acting as the bridge after the second chorus, and the bass kinda carrys the song. The orginal recording's beginning has a mess up on the guitar. Thanks for the review! I'm using this stuff for my notes for sure!

Very good!

Yes, I can imagen that. Way to go kids. :) I have to admit, this reminds me a bit of an RPG game. Some theme for a snowy town or something. Definitively something for the christmas contest. Good job on the production.

Best of luck for the contest.

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for Familiar Blanket of Snow, keeping its score at 5.00.

MusicalRocky responds:

Hey, thanks a lot for taking the time to review. Lol, I don't hear the RPG in it, but to each his own. Yeah, snowy town is kinda the image I got though. Thanks for the luck, even though its useless :( Haha

Sweet!

Well...you already know what I'm thinking about. Great going here on the "classical" side as well as in your other piece. Gentle vocals from Bad_Man. Going well with the track. Only think to bug a little about is your guitar tone...I'm not sure but maybe a more "crunchy" tone would have done the job better. Just my opinion. Overall kick ass job mate.

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for This is Christmas, raising its score from 4.50 to 4.67.

speedmetalmessiah responds:

Yeah I was going to record the solo over again but I just couldn't find a setting I liked so I just stuck with this one. Thanks for the review man.

Wow...just wow!

I mean thats what I call imagination. The description...the song. A perfect match. Christmas like? Thats for sure. The feeling is perfect. It's so gentle, warm, fuzzy. This is really one of the best...or better to say the best entry I've heard so far.

I'm lost for words. Sry for not beeing constructive this time but this is just to good!

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for -Orr- Christmas Eve, raising its score from 4.75 to 4.80.

DavidOrr responds:

I really tried to make this one special. I'm glad it appealed to you. Although I'm always looking for ways to improve, getting a review like this once in a while is rewarding in itself.

Thanks!

D'oh!

Why do I have the feeling that the guitar is out of tune? Hmm...: /

I hope you check the tone of your guitar everytime you start recording. Funny tune but there are some problems man. Mainly the mixing. The hole track is very "raw" on the production side. I assume you haven't mixed at all have you?

If I were you I would take me some time and search for some sites that have tips for mastering a track. Mainly some basics. That should ensure that your tracks will sound better with just a little of effort. The rest comes with experience.

Well, keep at it! \m/

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 3 for 666th Nation Army, lowering its score from 3.67 to 3.50.

Casualty responds:

Thanks for the tips dude! And yeah I realized the low E string was a bit too low when I recorded it =P

But hey thanks for the review dude!

Why hello there!

Another Hatebreed cover around here, ey? :D
Cool shit man, you're right with the fucked up parts yeah but w/e. There's more shitty stuff around here than this. Drums are a tad to loud in the mix but other then that it's shit. Nice one.

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for Hatebreed - Live for This, raising its score from 3.33 to 3.75.

Casualty responds:

Why thank you kind sir! I just saw you have a new Christmas entry so I'll check it out!

Sweet biscuits!

Catchy from the beginning. The sound of the floating creek makes it all so peaceful and harmonized. I have to admit that the choir wasn't it for me. The would also be good without it.

Don't know if the tambourine fitted quite well in that two places. Maybe a bell would be better there? I don't know, just my thoughts.

What more to say? Impressive work as usual. Oh yeah, would you mind beeing a nice MaestroEmo and hit me back sometime? ;)

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for _-{A Warm Wind in Avalon}=-_, raising its score from 3.57 to 3.75.

MaestroRage responds:

First off, Emo people don't hit people back, they are usually too busy hitting their own veins with metallic sharp objects.

Secondly, will do :D!

Thank you for the review DarKsidE, glad you liked it ^^.

Very nice!

Let's all imagen that the Robot-Masters are building a snowman. Then, Mega Man comes and blast it away. XD Muahaha.

Jolly good job on the track. It's has the good old heroic feel, spiced with christmas attitude. I dug it! Best of luck for you in the contest. :)

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 5 for Skull Castle Festivities, raising its score from 3.50 to 3.71.

Grumbleduke responds:

Take that, Robot-Masters! Ph33r my unchargeable mega buster! I feel I did pretty well on this track; I hope it goes far too. I know it can't win, but it's the taking part that counts for me.

Ok!

Well, lot of things to improve here. First of all the playing. It fucks up many times during the recording, which isn't nice for the ears. :(

Don't rush things, it takes time to create a good recording. Bass was midi I guess? Drums could have been a little louder in the mix but they are quite good.

Again, don't rush things. I think you can do better than this.

Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 3 for Spark Mandrill (MegaMan X), lowering its score from 4.17 to 4.00.

KitsuMech responds:

Aye I know about the screw ups, a lot of which were at the end of it. *grumbles*
I was playing off the hope that not too many people would notice them since a lot of people don't play instruments on NewGrounds.

Yes the bass was a midi, No bass guitar I can play irl. =\.

That third line there just made me feel awesome and a total confidence booster. Thanks ^^.

And thanks for posting the vote, At least i know whats going on then.

BTW, Great freakin work on Zeros Theme from X2.

...Music is the way to show your deepest feelings... Not everyone likes metal... FUCK THEM!! kekeke! ^_ ^
