[Super Mario Underworld remake]

Ah the loopyness!

Nice remake, sounds better then the old version. The Guitar fits better know and sounds smoother with the uhm "phaser"!? effect on it. Correct me if I'm wrong. ^^

Again, good composing and mixing with the effects, I really like the way your doing that. Seems to me that the track is a little bit mute, but it's ok how it is.

Man, would the quality be better...ah damn. Fucking cool tune there. Like it alot. Very nice harmonics, and good handling with the effects like the phaser.

Thx for the great review! Phasers and chorus give me goosebumps, that's why I like'em, :) but I try not to overdo them. But ya, I've got a serious sound quality issue. The finished product doesn't sound like my original (unmixed), so I'm having trouble getting the final mix to sound good. I'll figure it out. :)

Yeah, gets you from the start, but the hightunes at the beginning are a little bit flat and in my opinion don't fit after all. Also the bass sounded blank.

Some pretty heavy riffs in there, nice little sweeping, tempochanges and funny ending. ;)

Harmonics...ryhthm

I think one of your main problems are the above ones. The track begins good, but then the pipes and the keyboard comes in and they make the track crappy.

The alternative Version of it is better I think. This one is not very harmonic, some parts don't fit, like the bongos, and it's way too fast.

So, yeah...people are gonna hate me for this review (buaah) :(

Don't get me wrong, you do good stuff, but overall you should work more on the structur of your songs.

Doomsday, Sleep no More, Stone Angel and False Memory sound preety equal in their sturctur to each othter. Aspecially False Memory and Stone Angel ("The Wait" riff)

I mean, you often know exactly what comes next. Not, that it is bad, but a tracks even kick more ass, when your getting blowed away with something unexpected. ;)

Anyways, thats for the critics, and now for the good things. The clarity is very good, also the drums. The riffs are easy, but played well. For a 15 year old, your doing a good job.

Overall here it's a 7, but in the end I give you 4/5 + download.

fuzzyness!

Drums were pretty cool but the guitar is waay to fuzzy. The Track is simple and solid, it has potential. Could be a little more variety in it, but apart from that it's ok! 4/5.

As far as the fuzziness of my guitar playing, I blame that on my inability to pick the right EQ settings on my distortion. I do intend to re-record and re-release this song though. This one's merely a demo now. But anyway, I appreciate your input.

Man...I'm so anal when it comes to the clarity of my submissions. I try to eliminate every piece of noise, I carefully tweak all my EQ, add smidgens of reverb here and there, and compress the fuck out of everything until it sounds clear and punchy. I'm hoping.
